Ideally updated ones with the universal cutout (which sounded dramatically better to my ears. I like both to be honest, the aluminium is more musical, it exhibits greater variance across the type surface, and also softer in use, but I also quite like the flatter deeper tone of the brass.
Density is the big factor here. Brass is far more dense then Aluminum, meaning any noise/vibrations produced by your keystrokes (be it smacking the plate, upstroke setting, etc) is going to be slower, and thus more muted with the brass plate.
